iGrow Game casts the player as an aspiring cannabis grower building a business inside a grimy UK tower block. Rather than presenting a conventional farm, it frames cultivation as a first-person, single-player operation in 3D. Players work toward becoming a leading grower by acquiring equipment, developing their setup and selling their harvest to dealers.
Cultivation involves choices with consequences for both yield and sales. Equipment such as containers, hydroponics, lights, reflectors and fans affects a plant’s final yield and potency, while dealers judge products using criteria that include dryness and potency. Wet cannabis can be harvested in greater quantity, but its quality is reduced, and some dealers will refuse wet buds. The game also features strain unlocking and crossbreeding, tying plant development to the effort to find buyers and earn better prices.
The tower’s layout is generated at the start of a new game, placing available rooms and dealers in varying positions across its floors. Players move between floors by lift, and higher-ranked dealers occupy higher levels. Its changing tower arrangement adds variation to that single-player format without changing the core focus on growing and selling.
