Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising imagines a peaceful Earth forced back into conflict. After a devastating struggle, humanity has spent two decades rebuilding a near-utopia, only for a cabal of old-world power brokers to threaten that order from a Pacific archipelago. The last hope is the Antaeus, an Adaptive Cruiser left as a weapon when the rest were destroyed.
The cruiser is more than a battlefield unit: it is an aircraft carrier and manufacturing platform. Players create military units aboard it with advanced nanotechnology, plan assaults from within the ship, then take those forces into third-person combat. That shift between strategic preparation and direct action is the game’s defining blend, placing army-building and battlefield control in the same campaign rather than treating them as separate experiences.
Its appeal rests on directing a force from the carrier and then joining the ensuing mayhem yourself, with the fate of the rebuilt world as the stakes.
