Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered casts Aloy as a young machine hunter and tribal outcast searching for her origins in a world where human settlements stand among the ruins of an older civilization. The open landscape is both beautiful and dangerous: hostile machines patrol it, while tribes, settlements, wildlife and rival factions shape Aloy’s journey toward preventing an impending doom.
Combat makes preparation and tactical attacks central to the adventure. Aloy fights with bow, spear and an arsenal of weapons, taking on machines as well as hostile human factions. The Remastered Edition presents the original action role-playing game with higher-fidelity visuals and includes The Frozen Wilds, an expansion adding new lands, skills, weapons and machines. Its PC options include ultrawide and triple-monitor support, customizable graphics settings and several image-upscaling technologies.
Because this is a single-player, open-world role-playing adventure, its play format centers on an individual journey rather than shared multiplayer sessions.
