In Hobo: Tough Life, you are one of the people left homeless by the social upheaval in Praslav, a Central European city facing the approach of winter. Survival is about more than finding food and shelter: cold, wet conditions, poor hygiene and illness all shape the challenge. The game’s grounded premise makes everyday needs part of a precarious struggle rather than a backdrop to conventional action.
Preparation matters as autumn gives way to increasingly cold days. You can gather supplies and materials, search for a place to settle, and build walls and roofs for protection, then furnish your hideout with discarded objects. Story content is central: quests and encounters with distinctive residents can earn trust, create allies or enemies, and draw you into competing factions. Risky choices such as theft or using force may help in the moment, but the game warns that their consequences can be severe.
The format supports solo play as well as online co-op for up to four people, who can pool resources and build a shanty town together.
