HighFleet casts the player as commander of the Sayadi Task Force, sent to reclaim the rebellious Kingdom of Gerat in a world whose people have lost their memory of the past. The campaign’s stakes extend beyond military victory: Gerat holds traces of old prophecies, while the House of Sayadi hopes to recover what it has lost. That mix of conquest and mystery gives the desert setting a purpose beyond serving as a battlefield.
Combat centers on massive armed ships dueling in the sky, with success tied to positioning and exposing an opponent’s weak points rather than simply firing at will. Between engagements, players explore Gerat, manage ships, personnel and supplies such as fuel, and conduct diplomacy with local factions. An in-game ship editor lets players design a fleet around their preferred fighting style, connecting construction choices to the tactical encounters ahead. The dieselpunk look, sound and lingering historical mystery reinforce the game’s distinct atmosphere.
Its blend of action and strategy comes from moving between those responsibilities, with the unresolved prophecy lending the military journey a larger narrative thread.
