Hidden Deep is a 2D sci-fi action and exploration game set in a mining and research facility buried more than a mile beneath the ocean floor. After contact with an expedition breaks off, you lead a second team into the facility to investigate the anomalies and search for survivors. Its premise draws on the isolation of a deep-sea rescue mission, with an undercurrent of alien horror.
The design puts team direction and hands-on exploration together: control crew members directly or issue orders, then coordinate different tasks as you move through underwater caves. Grappling hooks, scanners, drones and heavy machinery support the expedition, while weapons help defend against hostile alien life and other unknown threats. Rather than presenting exploration as a solitary walk through a fixed environment, the game makes equipment and team coordination central to navigating danger.
Hidden Deep offers a hand-crafted single-player campaign and a Challenge Mode with randomized levels and varied mission goals, playable alone or in local co-op. Remote Play co-op is also listed as available.
