Half-Demon Shinobi follows Manari, a quiet anti-demon ninja whose stolen emotions have become three demons: Lust, Wrath and Idiocy. Her encounter with Miyakoji Agu, who carries a sought-after Bone of the Immortals, changes her prospects in battle. By extracting and consuming its essence, Manari strengthens her ninjutsu. The game frames its demon-slaying story as a voiced drama, with Manari’s future placed in the player’s hands.
Combat is a six-element card duel shaped by dice: six elemental dice determine which cards Manari can play, and the player chooses whether to keep the result or reroll. Ninjutsu schools, cards and talismans support different builds, while Sacred Jewels earned after battles provide permanent upgrades. Between encounters, a Japanese-style map mixes random battles with treasure, stores, rest areas and events. Chapters progress through acts and mini-levels toward boss encounters, giving the adventure a structured, staged rhythm.
The single-player format centers the experience on guiding Manari through this campaign rather than coordinating with other players. A helpful senpai, Yutaka, can assist in difficult battles and sells talismans and ninjutsu to enhance the deck.
