GRID is a motorsport racing game centered on earning a place in the GRID World Series and taking on Ravenwest Motorsport. Its career is divided into six strands: Touring, GT, Tuner, Stock, FA Racing and Invitational. Across these events, drivers can expand a garage and compete in a range of racing categories, giving the career a broad, class-based structure.
Its defining twist is a field of more than 400 AI personalities. On-track clashes, overtakes and mistakes shape each race, while aggravating an opponent can turn them into a Nemesis who prioritizes beating the player. The driving model pairs adjustable assists with handling and car design intended to welcome newcomers while still letting experienced racers set themselves a challenge. That emphasis on reactive rivals makes competition feel personal rather than simply a contest against anonymous traffic.
GRID’s car selection spans five decades, from classic touring cars and modern IMSA and WEC machines to JDM models and American muscle. More than 80 routes include real-world circuits such as Sepang and Indianapolis alongside fictional street courses in Havana and San Francisco. Multiplayer offers Quick Match and Private Match, with event-creation options for championships, weather changes, qualifying sessions and races of up to 99 laps. Between events, Skirmish adds a no-rules figure-of-eight circuit where collisions and destruction take center stage.
