In Story Mode, a young street hustler, a retired bank robber, and a dangerous psychopath become entangled with criminal forces and attempt a series of heists in Los Santos. The setup emphasizes a volatile trio navigating a city where trust is scarce, rather than a single-protagonist adventure.
Online shifts the focus from that authored storyline to a shared criminal sandbox. Players can build toward running a criminal enterprise, take on cooperative heists, race in Stunt events, compete in Adversary Modes, or spend time in social venues such as nightclubs and car meetups.
The Enhanced edition also highlights upgraded visuals, faster loading on supported devices, and support for features including ray tracing, AMD FSR, and NVIDIA DLSS. Current PC players can migrate Story Mode progress and Online characters and progression from the legacy version through a one-time transfer.
