Goodbye Deponia is a comic point-and-click adventure and the concluding chapter of the Deponia trilogy. Inventor Rufus wants to leave the junkyard planet for Elysium, but Goal disappears while the Organon threatens to destroy Deponia. His plan to solve the crisis takes an absurd turn when a cloning machine gives him two copies of himself, multiplying both the possibilities and the mayhem.
The defining twist is that players occasionally control all three Rufuses, coordinating them to complete tasks together. That shared problem-solving sits within a classic point-and-click format, with hand-drawn 2D comic art, sarcastic dialogue and black humor shaping the experience. Rufus’s habit of getting in his own way makes the trio’s cooperation part of the comedy as well as the adventure’s central mechanic.
The focus is on puzzles, comic complications and following Rufus’s efforts to find Goal, reach Elysium and stop the Organon’s plan.
