Good Company turns the rise of a tech business into a management and production challenge. Starting with a garage as its first manufacturing headquarters, players purchase materials, hire staff and build products for an evolving market. Its Silicon Valley-inspired setting frames the goal: grow from a small operation into a company competing for influence and customers.
The distinctive work lies in coordinating people and production. Players design complex manufacturing lines, manage stock and employee tasks, and use logistics systems, policies and automated machines to improve workflow. Research unlocks new technology, while product design asks players to consider market demand and quality alongside profit. Expansion brings additional buildings and more advanced goods, including robots, so the company’s operation can grow more intricate as it scales.
The play format ranges from a single-player Campaign, following an entrepreneur seeking to help their home county, to open-ended Freeplay and online cooperative multiplayer for up to four players.
