Global Rescue is a strategy and simulation game about establishing an emergency services base and keeping its operations ready for the next call. Players choose a location anywhere in the world using accurate map data, then develop a facility for police, fire, EMS and SWAT teams. The appeal is in combining the broad view of a growing operation with decisions about the people, vehicles and spaces that make it work.
Responses unfold visibly in a 3D world: vehicles travel to incidents, crews get out and perform assigned work, and traffic reacts to blocked streets. Players can intervene in scene logistics, choosing vehicle parking and crew positions, or decide how closely to manage each response. Back at base, planning includes room for parking, wash bays, offices and staff amenities, alongside fleet upgrades, personnel training and an extensive research tree. The range of scenarios includes fires, road accidents, medical emergencies, witness questioning and high-risk SWAT operations.
That mix of base management and live mission coordination gives Global Rescue a distinct single-player format. Its mission editor lets players create operations, while vehicle customization and a choice of location add further ways to shape a run.
