Get To Work turns the corporate ladder into a physical obstacle course. Its young protagonist sets out to conquer the corporate world, but he does so on rollerblades strapped to both arms and feet. The premise frames the climb as a satirical story about trying to survive in today’s economy, with narrator Connor “CDawgVA” Colquhoun encouraging the player along the way.
Movement is the central challenge: the character is slippery and only knows how to move fast, so steering through massive gaps, ramps, jumps, and other obstacles becomes the game’s defining test. Its movement system is designed to reward speed, making momentum both an advantage and a source of risk. Along the route, players can collect audio clips from the self-help podcast “The Grindset,” voiced by streamers including Atrioc, Ludwig, DougDoug, and PointCrow. A built-in speedrun timer also supports timed attempts, while a give-up button offers an explicit way to stop a climb.
The combination of obstacle-course traversal, collectibles, and speedrun support gives Get To Work a focused single-player format rather than a multiplayer one. Its comedy comes from setting that punishing movement challenge against the familiar language of career ambition and self-help, rather than from treating the corporate premise as straightforward workplace simulation.
