GAROU: MARK OF THE WOLVES is a fighting game in the Fatal Fury series, built around a tournament in Second Southtown. Its arcade mode lets players choose from a roster of fighters and battle through the King of Fighters: Maximum Mayhem tournament. That setting gives each match a clear competitive frame: fighters are working their way through a tournament rather than exploring a broader action-game world.
The combat stands out through three named systems: T.O.P., Just Defended and Breaking. Training mode offers a place to practise combos and strategies with a chosen character, while arcade play puts those skills into tournament fights. This combination of character selection, defence and breaking mechanics, and focused practice makes the game’s design specifically about learning and applying a fighting style.
For player-count context, GAROU supports both single-player arcade play and multiplayer fights, including online PvP and shared-screen PvP. Steam multiplayer includes Invite a Friend and Lobby options, so its play format accommodates both solo tournament runs and direct competition. Leaderboards also let players check ranks and scores, adding a score-and-ranking dimension alongside the match-based modes.
