Galactic Glitch pairs twin-stick shooting with roguelike structure in a mysterious, glitched expanse of star systems. Its runs are shaped by permadeath, while exploration offers hidden secrets and valuable items, giving the combat a broader setting than a sequence of isolated arena fights.
The gravity gun is the game’s defining tool: players can grab rocks and mines, sling them off arena walls, and turn enemy rockets back against their owners. It can also launch enemies into one another, making the physics of the battlefield part of the attack plan. Foes add another tactical layer, since they can be dismantled piece by piece and have weak spots protected by heavier armor.
Each run also supports different approaches through upgrade paths, unlockable powers, and combinations of items. The single-player format centers the experience on an individual player navigating those fights and building a character over the course of a run.
