FPS Monitor is a PC utility built around a practical idea: keep performance and hardware readings visible while a game is running, rather than switching to the desktop or checking another display. Its overlay can show frame rate alongside details such as CPU, GPU, memory, network, and storage activity, bringing system monitoring into the play session.
The tool goes beyond a basic FPS counter. It can report frame time and low, minimum, maximum, and average frame rates, display sensor readings such as temperatures and fan speeds, and present hardware data in graphical forms. Alerts can appear when hardware approaches a critical state. Players can also customize how readings look, assemble scenes with text or images, and switch between prepared scenes during play. Support spans several graphics APIs, including DirectX, OpenGL, and Vulkan; a desktop widget is also available.
Because FPS Monitor is monitoring software rather than a multiplayer game, its play format does not revolve around shared matches or a built-in player roster.
