Forza Horizon 6 frames its racing campaign as a journey from tourist to Horizon Festival legend, with Japan as both setting and playground. Its map contrasts rural landscapes with Tokyo, described as the series’ largest urban area, and emphasizes vertical routes and varied biomes. The campaign’s progression runs through a Festival qualification, increasingly fast cars and new Wristbands, leading to access to Legend Island.
Driving and collecting sit alongside the races: the game features more than 550 real-world cars, including JDM classics, plus special Forza Edition vehicles and rare Aftermarket Cars. Touge Battles draw on Japanese car culture, while homes offer customizable garages for displaying a collection. Players can also build freely in the open-world Estate, creating a personal mountain-valley space, or use EventLab’s CoLab tools to make events with friends anywhere in Japan.
The play format spans solo exploration, co-op and online competition, including Time Attack Circuits, Drag Meets, Spec Racing Championships, Car Meets, The Eliminator and Hide & Seek.
