Firefighting Simulator - The Squad puts players on an active firefighting team serving a large US city. Missions range across industrial, suburban, and downtown districts, sending the crew to tackle fires and rescue civilians. Its focus is not simply on reaching an emergency: players must respond as a working team, with firefighting equipment and vehicles modeled on real North American brands.
At an incident, the crew drives to the deployment location and deals with fires shaped by hazards such as smoke, heat, water, and back drafts. Fire can spread dynamically, while different causes, including chemicals and explosions, add variety to the challenges. Missions take place across more than 40 locations, with several approaches to fighting each fire, and can unfold by day or night. The game also features five licensed Rosenbauer America fire trucks and authentic protective gear.
The format supports either solo command or cooperative play. Alone, players lead an experienced team, assigning jobs to AI colleagues through a command interface while joining the action themselves. In co-op, up to three friends can take on roles within the firefighting team.
