Firefighting Simulator: Ignite casts players as U.S. firefighters responding to emergencies across a sprawling city in the American Midwest. Missions range from trapped civilians to electrical and grease fires, with dynamic flames, heat, and smoke creating hazards to manage as the situation unfolds. The premise is not simply to arrive and spray water: players must read conditions and choose their response carefully.
Fireground work combines authentic tools and vehicles with tactical decisions. Crews can ventilate to limit fire spread, cool overheated objects, cut through obstacles, reduce air drafts, and select an appropriate extinguishing agent. Smoke seeping through a closed door can signal danger, while threats such as backdrafts, flashovers, and explosions make situational awareness part of the challenge. Between calls, the fire station serves as a hub for learning techniques, inspecting vehicles, and selecting another assignment.
The game supports solo play with an NPC-controlled crew as well as cooperative multiplayer for up to four players.
