FINAL FANTASY X/X-2 HD Remaster brings together two role-playing adventures set in Spira, with a different central journey in each. The first follows Tidus, a star blitzball player, as he travels with the summoner Yuna on her mission to save the world from Sin. In the second game, set two years after the start of the Eternal Calm, Yuna becomes a Sphere Hunter after seeing a mysterious image and sets out with Rikku and Paine to uncover its meaning.
The paired stories give the collection its defining structure: X centers on Yuna’s quest against a recurring threat, while X-2 sends her companions across the world in pursuit of a mystery. The remaster is based on the games’ international versions and presents their characters, monsters, and environments with HD refinements. Its PC edition also includes remastered or rearranged music and International Edition content.
The PC version includes autosave and five game boosters, among them high-speed and no-encounter modes; adjustable difficulty is also listed. Those options accompany two substantial, connected journeys, while the story and world of Spira remain the central draw.
