FBC: Firebreak is a cooperative first-person shooter set inside the Federal Bureau of Control, where a years-long siege has pushed the agency’s headquarters toward crisis. Players take the role of Firebreak first responders, sent into the Oldest House to confront reality-warping anomalies and otherworldly creatures. Its setting draws on the strange, unpredictable world of Control, while presenting the Bureau’s headquarters from the perspective of a volunteer response unit.
The game is built around three-player cooperation: survival depends on quick decisions and coordinated work as teams tackle paranatural crises in unexpected locations. Before a deployment, players choose a weapon and customize a Crisis Kit with tools, grenades, support items, and paranatural augments. Those options can be modified to suit a strategy, while improvising with available equipment and combining team strengths are also part of the design. That mix of preparation and on-the-ground teamwork gives the shooter a crisis-response identity rather than framing each player as a lone operative.
The available player figure therefore relates to a game whose core activity is joining a team to contain escalating threats, not simply moving through a solo campaign. Loadout choices and team synergy shape how players approach each crisis, giving the shared missions a tactical layer within the surreal setting.
