FAITH: The Unholy Trinity is a pixel horror game rooted in the 1980s “Satanic Panic.” Its story begins in rural Connecticut, where two priests investigate an apparent demonic possession at the Martin family home; only two people leave alive. The game follows a young priest haunted by that failed exorcism, then carries his ordeal into further encounters with paranormal forces and a Satanic cult.
The central tool is a holy crucifix, used to perform exorcisms, fight possessed cultists, and cleanse haunted objects. Exploration moves through desolate forests, abandoned churches, and the inner sanctums of a cult, setting a mood of dread, isolation, and mystery. Across its three chapters, the priest returns to the site of the earlier exorcism, descends into a new nightmare, and travels the countryside with a mysterious stranger to stop a demon’s summoning.
Its deliberately old-school presentation combines chunky pixels with hand-crafted rotoscope animation and a haunting retro soundtrack. Demonic voices are channeled through abandonware speech synthesizers, reinforcing the game’s uneasy, lo-fi atmosphere. Multiple and secret endings add further outcomes to a horror experience shaped as much by its distinctive audiovisual style as by its occult premise.
