When Natsu and Happy find a mysterious door beneath the Fairy Tail guild, it leads to a sprawling dungeon that strips intruders of their powers. An Exceed named Labi helps them, and the pair set out to find Labi’s missing friend. That setup gives the adventure a clear destination: push toward the deepest depths, even when the dungeon leaves its visitors without their usual strength.
Combat revolves around a deck of skill cards and a limited number of moves. Cards can attack, defend or cast magic, while playing them in a particular sequence triggers Magic Chains for heavy damage. Players can strengthen their deck with cards found in treasure chests or earned in battle, and each character brings a different approach: Natsu is an all-rounder, Lucy calls celestial spirits, and Gray uses molding magic for tactical advantage. A solo run also rewards persistence, with exploration points unlocking amulets for later attempts after defeat.
The game separates its labyrinth play into solo and team formats. In the solo dungeon, players explore until their lantern goes out and may encounter guild members who can join them; the team dungeon instead sends three characters trained in solo runs into the depths, where tomes improve team stats and an original character serves as the final boss.
