FACEMINER casts you as an operator of a biometric-data business, presented entirely through the interface of a vintage operating system. Its incremental, narrative-driven format combines repeated clicking with management: harvest facial data, sell it, and grow a processing empire. The premise gives routine business expansion a darker edge, with the player working toward planetary scale inside a fictional corporate software suite.
Growth means more than clicking faster. You manage software upgrades and hardware expansion while balancing profits against electricity bills, cooling costs, and carbon-offset schemes. The game also folds workplace messages into its management loop: office gossip and internal correspondence offer clues about the software’s shadowy creators. Promotions mark a path from manual data filtering toward automated harvesting, while poor prioritisation can bring costly mistakes. An original soundtrack spanning house, jungle, and ambient styles adds to the game’s 90s-inflected presentation.
Alongside its main game, FACEMINER lists Endless Mode, VR Mode, and an Infinite Money Glitch mode among its bonus features.
