F1 2021 is the official videogame of the 2021 FIA Formula One World Championship, built around the series’ drivers, teams and racing. Its signature addition is Braking Point, a story experience that gives the game a narrative strand alongside its championship-style competition. The authentic 2021 lineup includes twenty drivers and ten teams, grounding its racing in that season’s grid.
Career options cover distinct approaches to building a season. In My Team, players create a driver, select a sponsor and engine supplier, hire a teammate, then compete as an eleventh team. The ten-year Career mode adds Research and Development, Practice Programmes and Quick Practice, while two-player Career lets a pair share that longer format. Real-Season Start offers another way into a campaign, and Formula 2 is included with short, medium or full-season options and content from 2020 and 2021.
For shorter or more direct sessions, players can choose Time Trial, Grand Prix mode, split-screen racing for two, or online Social and Ranked races, with Quick Join, Leagues and Weekly Events also listed. Casual race options sit alongside Expert settings, giving players a choice between a more relaxed setup and finer control.
