F1 2012 brings the official drivers, teams and circuits of the 2012 FIA Formula One World Championship into a racing simulation built around both learning and competition. Its Young Driver Test introduces the basics before challenging players to master the cars, giving the game a clear on-ramp to its demanding driving premise.
Track conditions are part of the challenge: a weather system sends storm fronts across circuits and can leave particular sections wet while others remain dry. The game also features the Circuit of The Americas in Austin, alongside race-focused options that range from a compressed ten-race Season Challenge to a five-year Career. Champions Mode adds scenarios testing players against top competitors, while Time Attack offers a different format for pursuing performance.
Its listed multiplayer supports sixteen players, and a Co-op Championship gives two players a shared championship option. These modes describe distinct ways to approach the same officially licensed 2012 season, from individual career building to racing alongside or against others.
