Endurance makes the race to finish a game as quickly as possible collide with the demands of everyday life. While progressing through “The Game,” players must also keep themselves alive outside it: hunger and thirst require attention, and an open door can flood the screen with light. That premise gives the adventure a distinctive source of pressure, making routine tasks part of the challenge rather than a break from it.
The strategy-style design puts those interruptions into concrete play. Players order and consume supplies such as fruit, meat, water, and cola to avoid starvation or dehydration, while repeatedly closing a door that keeps opening. Failure has a sharp consequence: dying in Real Life means starting over. The game combines 3D and retro 2D graphics, and its progression is organized into five areas, each with three levels.
Endurance offers three game modes, with two to unlock, as well as four difficulty settings for Real Life and four for “The Game.” Hints are available on the lowest difficulties.
