Emissary Zero puts players on an uneasy assignment: explore a mysterious building at night, find the Moon, and try to make it back alive. A manager is the only stated support, leaving the explorer to handle the rest. Creepy monsters and a large, changing location give the expedition its unsettling backdrop, while the search and return journey frame the central goal.
Exploration is tied to practical tasks rather than simply crossing the building. Players can find and move resources, repair and connect equipment, and observe their surroundings while completing objectives. That combination makes the setting a place to investigate and manage, not just a route through a horror scenario. The game also includes in-game voice chat for online play, fitting its mix of solitary pressure and shared exploration.
The format supports solo play, online company for up to four people, and split-screen multiplayer for up to two.
