Elysium: Blood Games casts you as an Arenamaster responsible for a ludus of three fighters, shaping their careers toward a championship. The warriors are individuals, with five stats, a profile picture and a special trait; your job is to train them, keep them alive and pursue gold and glory. That management focus gives the arena bouts a longer horizon than a string of isolated matches.
Training lets you choose which aspects of a fighter to develop, while injuries, aging and varied career arcs shape their progress. Between seasons, you negotiate contracts and draft new warriors, and careers can end in retirement or death. Combat offers direct control over moves such as Lunging, defending or aiming to cause bleeding, or you can select an attitude and let the fight play out. Detailed fight text and post-match statistics frame each bout as part of a developing career.
The format combines management with competition: your fighters face nine other warriors, and seasons culminate in single-elimination playoffs. Influence can buy favors, while brews boost a fighter’s skill; you can also gamble on other matches, bribe opponents and advertise bouts for greater earnings. Randomly generated warriors, brews and schedules make each new game setup different.
