ELYON sets its conflict around a coveted passage to paradise: Vulpin and Ontari are at war for control of Elyon, while Dark Apostles invade the world of Harth through a rift from another dimension. That backdrop feeds into a game built around both faction conflict and adventures beyond the front lines, rather than a single competitive arena.
Its large-scale Realm Wars place fortresses on faction borders, stocked with manamechs, artillery and soldiers. Character combat is also highly configurable: skill addons, runestones and Mana Awakening can be combined to shape styles such as fragile, high-damage attackers or sturdier front-liners. Dimensional Portals offer another contested route to resources, since either faction can enter the planes beyond them. For smaller groups, the game includes boss dungeons with complex, multi-phase encounters, alongside solo dungeons arranged in floors.
Players can travel alone, seek a party or join a Clan, so the game accommodates different ways of approaching its many activities.
