Eastside Hockey Manager puts you in charge of a hockey club or national team, with management spanning leagues and competitions across the world. Its central appeal is the breadth of responsibility: you shape the roster through contracts, trades, scouting and drafts, while also assembling coaches, scouts and other staff. Detailed finances, player budgets and salary caps give those decisions a wider team-building context.
Tactical control extends from the whole team to individual units and players. You can handle coaching yourself or appoint a head coach, then follow matches in a top-down 2D engine or review highlights afterward. The simulation also models on-ice details such as deflections and shot-blocking, while player development, aging and retirement give roster planning a longer arc. International management, including under-20 teams, adds another route through the game’s hockey world.
That multiplayer option sits alongside a substantial single-player management experience, so the game’s appeal is not limited to head-to-head play. Steam Workshop support also lets players add user-generated content such as custom databases and graphics.
