Earth 2140 is a real-time strategy game set in 2140, after decades of conflict and environmental devastation have reshaped the world. The United Civilized States and the Eurasian Dynasty are the last two major powers, and their escalating war is a contest for scarce natural resources and control of what remains.
The game centers on high-tech warfare, with more than 100 ground units alongside mechs, aircraft and ships. Its campaign offers more than 50 missions, while strategic orders such as formations and escorts give players tools to direct forces beyond simply sending them into battle. The opposing factions fight over resources that must now be extracted above ground, against a backdrop of underground cities and continents rendered uninhabitable by toxic weapons.
This edition supports resolutions up to full HD and includes both Mission Pack 1 and Mission Pack 2. Earth 2140’s distinctive setting pairs a conventional struggle between two surviving world powers with a devastated planet where even robots and machines cannot operate in the most contaminated regions. That contrast gives the resource conflict a stark premise: the final war determines who claims the dwindling supplies and ultimately rules the world.
