Duelyst II is a free-to-play competitive tactics game set around animated pixel-art cards and strategic, turn-based combat. Players build a deck from hundreds of cards, then position units on a battlefield with the goal of destroying the opposing General. That combination makes the board itself central: success depends on where units stand as well as which cards a deck brings into play.
Decks can draw on minions, spells, and artifacts, creating room for different strategies and combos. The six factions give those choices distinct identities: Lyonar emphasizes close combat and healing, Songhai pairs displacement and ranged attacks with spell synergies, while Vetruvian uses Dervishes, buffs, debuffs, and artifacts. Other factions bring their own battlefield tools, from Abyssian Wraithlings and Shadow Creep to Vanar Walls and Magmar units with Grow and Rebirth abilities.
The game lists both single-player and multiplayer, including PvP and online PvP, and describes ranked ladder play as a place to test skill.
