DUBIUM sets a crew’s emergency mission against a hidden betrayal. Frontiers are sent to a damaged station to destroy four Energy Cubes and prevent its explosion, while a Traitor secretly pursues a rival objective. The premise turns a rescue operation into a contest over who can be trusted, not simply a race against environmental danger.
Survival requires restoring life support, gathering oxygen canisters, repairing solar generators and finding a way off the station before it explodes. Frontiers search for Energy Cubes and valuable Keystones; the Traitor must collect ten Keystones and escape while concealing their allegiance. Players can work together toward a shared escape, but surviving alone remains an option, and dying means losing the Keystones collected. The possibility of another Frontier becoming the Traitor after the first one dies adds another layer of suspicion.
That combination of cooperative objectives, online PvP and concealed roles gives DUBIUM a distinct social-survival format. Its multiplayer count belongs in the context of a game where players may coordinate repairs and escape, yet must also watch for someone undermining the mission. Rather than treating every participant as a straightforward teammate, the design makes trust itself part of the challenge.
