Dreadnought is a free-to-play space shooter built around team-based battles between capital ships. Its setting ranges from space to the surfaces of colonies across the solar system, while its deliberate combat pace leaves room to respond as the battlefield shifts. The focus is not simply on firing the largest guns: coordinating with teammates and adapting to the opposing team are central to the premise.
Ship management gives that combat its distinctive tactical layer. Vessels can draw on an energy system to strengthen shields, boost engines or increase weapon damage, so crews must choose how to allocate power. Players can also respawn in a different ship and change strategy during a match. The game describes eight-versus-eight battles, with Team Deathmatch, Onslaught and Conquest among its modes; its ships span specialized classes and can be equipped with different weapons and modules.
Alongside maneuvering through large battlefields, players earn Credits and XP from battles to unlock ships, weapons and modules. The result is a capital-ship shooter where shifting loadouts and energy decisions matter as much as aiming, and where each match puts those choices against another team.
