DRAGON BALL FighterZ turns the Dragon Ball world’s spectacular clashes into a competitive fighting game. Developed by Arc System Works, it pairs high-end anime-inspired visuals with combat designed to be easy to learn but difficult to master. A story mode adds an original scenario featuring Android 21, a new character whose creation was supervised by Akira Toriyama.
Its defining format is three-versus-three team combat: players build a team and use tag combinations and support to shape fast-paced fights. Aerial combos, destructible stages, and scenes drawn from the anime reinforce the series’ action-heavy identity. Beyond the story, the game includes ranked matches, an interactive lobby, and a six-player Party Match, alongside local and online player-versus-player options.
The roster-based tag design gives matches their particular rhythm, while the anime presentation makes the game’s roots immediately recognizable.
