Don’t Shout Together turns a forest survival setup into a test of nerve and communication. After a plane crash, players discover an explosive device attached to each neck, triggered by screaming. A scare is therefore more than atmosphere: one team member making a loud noise can force everyone to restart, making careful voice chat central to the group’s survival.
Escape requires gathering items for one of two plans: assemble a phone booth to call for rescue, or build a car from parts and drive away. Mutants and monsters threaten the team along the way, while microphone sensitivity needs calibration because even quiet sounds may register as a scream. The game supports solo play as well as cooperative play with friends or other players, and a radio can carry information over a distance. Its shared failure condition gives cooperation a sharp edge: a teammate’s mistake affects the whole group.
Its distinctive tension comes from balancing spoken strategy against the danger of making too much noise, with two escape routes setting the objective. Single-player is also listed, so the premise can be approached alone as well as in company.
