Dome Keeper Demo frames survival as a contest between exploration and defense. Alien monsters attack the keeper’s dome in waves, while the quieter intervals invite you to dig below the surface. Resources and relics must be carried back to the dome, where they can unlock upgrades and gadgets. That alternating rhythm gives the game’s roguelike action-mining premise its defining tension: time spent searching is time away from the looming threat.
The demo’s Relic Hunt centers each run on finding an ancient artifact before the monsters destroy the dome. Its medium-sized map and choice between two primary gadgets establish a focused setup, while procedurally generated maps and useful gadgets make each outing distinct. Guild Assignments add optional challenge through tasks with their own modifiers and goals, and difficulty settings let players choose between the default Brutal setting and Normal. Together, these systems combine a clear objective with variation in how a run unfolds.
This is a single-player demo, so its play format is a solo experience rather than a shared session. The documented demo design offers a compact view of that central loop without implying that every feature of the full game is included.
