Dokapon Kingdom: Connect opens with monsters attacking towns and the kingdom’s economy collapsing. The King gathers warriors to rescue the settlements and collect taxes; whoever collects the most is promised the Princess’s hand in marriage and the throne. This money-focused goal gives the adventure a competitive edge, as players pursue a prize that puts their ambitions in direct conflict.
The game blends role-playing with a party board game, built around spinning a roulette and defeating opponents who block the way. Players choose from eleven job classes, including Warrior and Magician, earn experience to level up, and can buy or steal items. Its board spans seven continents, while the combination of character progression, item tactics, and rivalry sets it apart from a board game centered only on movement.
Five modes offer different ways to approach the contest: Normal, Story, Shopping Race, Kill Race, and Town Race. Friends can compete online, and the listed play options also include shared-screen PvP.
