Disgaea PC begins with demon prince Laharl waking two years after his father’s death to find the Netherworld in turmoil. Alongside the scheming vassal Etna and angel trainee Flonne, he fights to reclaim the throne and become Overlord. Its setting turns familiar ideas of good and evil upside down, giving the story a deliberately zany backdrop for a strategy role-playing game.
Battles mix tactical positioning with showy combat and puzzle-like Geo Panels. Lift & Throw lets characters toss allies toward otherwise hard-to-reach enemies, or send opponents flying, adding unusual ways to use the battlefield. Beyond combat, the Item World offers randomly generated dungeons where players can strengthen equipment. Character progression pushes toward level 9999, while Transmigration allows a character to start again with greater strength per level. The game also offers more than 40 character types, supporting a broad cast for its over-the-top tactical play.
Its PC edition includes the content of Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness, along with updated UI and textures, keyboard and mouse support, and controller support.
