When Overlord Zenon’s curse transforms Veldime into a Netherworld, Adell is the only person left unaffected. He sets out to confront Zenon, but the story also brings in Zenon’s daughter, demon siblings and other Overlords, giving this strategy RPG a deliberately unruly cast and tone. The PC edition brings together content from Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories and Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days, alongside three playable characters noted as new to the Western release.
Squad-building offers more than 200 character classes, while the Dark Court turns moral expectations upside down by punishing the good and praising the evil. Tactical options include Stack Attack, and the returning Item World lets players improve their equipment. Beyond the main conflict, Axel Mode follows the washed-up rock star as he tries to regain popularity; the Dark World offers a hardcore setting for displaying huge damage, and the Land of Carnage challenges players with high-level enemies.
That mix of campaign storytelling, character development and repeatable combat gives the game a broad single-player structure. The PC release also lists keyboard and mouse support, updated interface features and controller support, providing different ways to manage its tactical battles.
