Dino D-Day imagines an alternate 1942 in which Hitler has resurrected dinosaurs and unleashed them across Europe and the Mediterranean. Its online multiplayer pits players serving the Allied nations against Nazi forces, turning a familiar wartime setting into a deliberately outlandish clash of soldiers and prehistoric creatures.
The opposing sides offer distinct character choices. The Allies include seven playable characters, among them Trigger, a Protoceratops rescued from the Nazis, and their classes have unique weapons and abilities. On the Axis side, players can choose from three human classes and four dinosaur classes. The combat examples range from firing an M1 Garand at a Dilophosaur to using a raptor’s stealth for an ambush; dinosaurs can also bring heavy weaponry or unconventional attacks into the fight.
Its blend of class-based choices, World War II weapons and dinosaur attacks defines the experience those figures relate to, without separating the game’s player activity from its multiplayer design.
