DICEOMANCER begins with a fishing trip gone wrong: its protagonist is pulled into a dangerous battle and gains the ability to change numbers on the interface. That premise turns a familiar strategy-game resource, the number itself, into a tool for reshaping the crisis. The journey is presented from a first-person perspective, while hand-drawn backgrounds and enemies give its otherworldly setting a distinct visual identity.
Its card play combines deckbuilding with dice checks and direct numerical alterations. Events and card effects can call for a D20 roll, but dice can also change enemy health, the player’s mana, card effects, or relic charges. Over the adventure, players unlock six mana types that can combine into six classes, building a deck from a large pool of cards and relics. The result is a strategy game where a roll can determine an outcome or become a way to revise the terms of play.
Its design draws on both card strategy and dice-driven encounters, with hand-drawn environments and a first-person presentation shaping the journey.
