Dice & Fold brings dungeon-crawling encounters into a card-folding format: players reveal cards, confront creature cards, and try to defeat and fold them. Its mix of tabletop role-playing inspiration and Solitaire gives each encounter a distinct structure, while turn-based choices keep the focus on planning rather than reflexes.
Dice rolls determine attack strength, so a stronger roll deals more damage. Players must weigh how to use their rolls against the possibility of monster-card counterattacks at the end of each turn. The game also describes more than 35 classes with different abilities and playstyles, and lets players select enemies to fold or companions to pair with hero skills. Between stages, item choices can improve dice rolls, class abilities, or add effects, layering deckbuilding decisions onto the tactical combat.
Generative dungeons bring changing challenges and rewards to runs, while defeat grants meta upgrades and currencies for later attempts. That roguelike structure makes Dice & Fold a single-player game built around repeatable runs and evolving character options.
