On the trash-covered planet Deponia, Rufus is determined to escape for a better life. His latest attempt goes awry when he accidentally knocks Goal, a woman from the floating city of Elysium, off her star cruiser and onto the planet. Rufus then sets out to return her to Elysium, with an impersonation scheme involving her fiancé Cletus adding another complication to his absurd plan.
This single-player adventure builds its story around challenging puzzles, bizarre dialogue and comedy. The Complete Journey brings Deponia’s story together in one edition, with a chapter-select world map and a graphical quest log to help track progress. Minigame help screens offer additional guidance, while developer commentary and behind-the-scenes videos provide extra context on the game’s creation. The edition also includes hidden collectables and bonus songs.
Its appeal lies in following Rufus through a comic escape plot and solving puzzles along the way, with extras that frame the trilogy’s story and production.
