Demonologist Demo introduces a co-op horror premise built around identifying the kind of evil spirit haunting a cursed place. Players can investigate alone or with a team, with co-op sessions supporting up to four people.
The investigation relies on equipment, but the environment also makes conversation part of the danger. Ghosts can be spoken to, and the words players choose may provoke reactions from cursed locations, including opening a secret door. Random events and ghosts add variation between games, so the challenge combines spirit identification with unpredictable encounters rather than treating each location as a fixed checklist.
Outside the haunted locations, players can invite others to a safe house, choose paranormal places to investigate, and display achievements. Earned money can go toward improving or replacing that safe house, or buying a pet to keep there. Multiple maps and equipment, alongside daily and weekly tasks and special-date events and missions, broaden the documented design. These features describe Demonologist’s premise and systems; the demo label does not establish that every full-game feature is included.
