Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles retells key parts of the anime through Tanjiro Kamado’s perspective. Its story follows Tanjiro from joining the Demon Slayer Corps in the Unwavering Resolve Arc through the Mugen Train story, with Kyojuro Rengoku featured as the Flame Hashira. The focus is on bringing familiar characters and battles into an interactive action game.
Combat presentation leans into the series’ signature techniques, rendered in full 3D with graphical effects designed to recreate iconic attacks. The game also frames its roster as a source of head-to-head matchups: players can choose from 24 fighters, including Tanjiro and Nezuko as well as demons Rui and Akaza. Versus mode lets favorite characters face off, including combinations that do not occur in the anime. Character unlocks listed for the game provide immediate access to their fighters in that mode.
The product supports both single-player and multiplayer, with PvP available online and through shared or split-screen play. The result is an anime adaptation built around both a guided narrative and character-versus-character action, rather than a fighting roster detached from the story it draws on.
