Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 adapts Tanjiro Kamado’s fight against demons into an action game shaped around the anime’s story and its ensemble of allies. Story Mode follows Tanjiro through the Entertainment District, Swordsmith Village, and Hashira Training arcs, setting battles against Upper Rank demons within a single-player campaign.
Its other central format is VS Mode, where a roster of more than 40 characters includes the nine Hashira. The game adds Dual Ultimates and Gear to this mode, bringing new elements to matchups that can be played online or offline. That contrast between a guided story campaign and head-to-head battles gives the game two distinct ways to engage with its combat, rather than making its identity depend on multiplayer alone.
The premise remains rooted in the bonds between Tanjiro and his allies, while the playable roster and versus options give those characters a separate arena beyond the story’s retelling of the anime arcs.
