Defy Gravity Extended blends action platforming with gravity-based puzzle solving. Its heroine, Kara, carries a gun that creates pockets of gravity and anti-gravity, letting her alter the physics around her. Rather than treating each jump as a fixed arc, the game makes control of those forces central to getting through its levels.
Kara can use these abilities to augment her jump and pass obstacles, as well as move objects that block her route and platforms beneath her. That gives the design a two-part character: players must navigate platforming challenges while also considering how their manipulation of gravity can change the space they are traversing. The game lists twenty-four unique levels and a second quest mode that adds another twenty-four levels and radically changes the game.
The store categorizes Defy Gravity as single-player, so its play format is a solo platforming and puzzle-solving experience rather than a multiplayer contest. Keyboard and mouse and Xbox controller support are listed, alongside a custom soundtrack and Steam achievements.
