DEATH NOTE Killer Within turns the Death Note story into an online social deduction contest. Players are divided between Kira and his follower, who seek to preserve Kira’s power, and L and the investigators, who aim to stop them. Each side must conceal its identity while working toward a different victory condition, making suspicion and reading opponents central to the premise.
The Death Note itself is hidden among the players, creating a contest to uncover identities, eliminate L or seize the notebook. Roles have distinct characteristics, and randomized scenarios shape the tactical choices available in each match. The game also supports avatar customization, including unlockable items, nameplates and special animations for dramatic moments. Voice chat is recommended, and play is online only.
Designed for online multiplayer, the game supports up to 10 players and cross-play. Its appeal is in the shifting alliances and concealed roles, with each side trying to outmaneuver the other while pursuing its own objective.
